Your Essential Guide Getting Halal Certificate in Malaysia

Introduction

Halal, an Arabic term meaning “permissible,” refers to products and practices that comply with Islamic law. While commonly associated with food, Halal extends to various industries, including cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and logistics. Businesses seeking Halal certification must ensure their products, ingredients, and processes meet strict guidelines set by Islamic authorities.

In Malaysia, Halal certification is regulated by Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia (JAKIM), ensuring compliance with Shariah law and international Halal standards. Obtaining Halal certification enhances consumer trust, broadens market opportunities, and provides a competitive edge, especially in Muslim-majority markets.

This guide will walk you through the process, requirements, and benefits of Halal certification, helping your business achieve compliance and gain access to a growing global Halal market.
